By using this site and the Piscatorium mobile app you accept the terms below. If you do not accept them, you should not use it.

1. Scope of the service

Piscatorium is a website and a mobile app published to provide information about weather and sea conditions, fishing grounds, fish species and the regulations on recreational angling. The information is compiled from publicly available sources and curated by hand. With an account you can keep a fishing log, share your logs and use the community features.

2. Limits of liability — read this before you head out to sea

This site must not be used for navigation.

The depth data on the map comes from EMODnet’s grid of about 230 meters; it shows the deeps offshore, not the bottom close to the shore. It does not replace the official navigational charts (SHOD). Do not plan your route with this site.

• Weather and sea data is a forecast. It can differ from the conditions that actually occur; the age of the data is shown in the interface.
• Fishing grounds, species information and season data are indicative; they guarantee no result.
• The decision to head out to sea and its consequences are entirely the user’s responsibility.

3. Regulation information

Minimum size, closed season and closed area information is taken from the recreational fishing communiqué of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry. The texts are not summarized; the legal basis in the communiqué and a link to the official source stand beside every record.

Even so, a transcription error is possible. The binding text is the official publication. If you see an error, telling us is the fastest way to have it corrected.

4. Account

• You have to give correct information when you open an account. We do not send a verification link to your email address; the accuracy of the address is your responsibility.
• The security of your account and your password is your responsibility.
• One person must not mislead the community features by opening several accounts.
• You can delete your account at any time from the account screen in the app; the operation cannot be undone.
• In the event of use contrary to these terms or to the regulations, your account may be closed to access.

5. Age limit

To open an account and share content you have to be over 18 or have your guardian’s consent. We do not verify age technically; this rests on your declaration.

6. The content you share

Your catch logs, your photos, your comments and your profile information belong to you. By sharing them you grant us only the right of use needed to provide the service: to store the content, to process it and to publish it at the visibility you set. We do not sell your content and we do not transfer it to another product.

You are responsible for the content you share. You must not share:

• Images or text belonging to someone else and used without permission,
• Statements containing insult, threat, hate speech or harassment,
• Misleading catch information, a fake location or a made-up log,
• Content showing protected species being caught or encouraging it,
• Advertising, spam and chain posts,
• Content that exposes another person’s identity or private information.

The privacy of your spot is yours. On every catch log you choose how much of the location is shown; the default is hidden. Bear in mind that a spot you share can be used by others.

7. Moderation and reporting

In the app you can report any catch log, comment and user. Reports are reviewed by a human; there is no automatic filter and no automatic removal. Reported content can stay published until the review is complete.

As a result of the review the content may be removed, the user may be warned or their account may be closed to access. You can also block any user you like; blocking cuts off interaction in both directions.

8. Pricing, subscription and advertising

The map, the fishing grounds, the species information, the regulations and the fishing log are free.

Pro membership is a subscription sold in the mobile app and it unlocks extra features. The rules of the subscription:

• Payment is completed in the system of the store you downloaded the app from (App Store or Google Play). Your card details never reach us.
• Unless you cancel it, the subscription renews automatically at the end of the period.
• Cancellations and refunds run through the store’s own rules and screens; we cannot issue the refund.
• Prices may change with prior notice; a change does not affect the period already in force.

In free use, ads are shown in the mobile app. The ads are not personalized. No ads are shown with Pro membership.

There is no sale, cart or payment on the site. When the tackle shop storefronts open, products are listed as a storefront; the purchase is completed in the shop.

9. The user’s obligations

• Not to use the site and the app for a purpose contrary to the regulations in force.
• Not to pull data in bulk with automated tools and not to disrupt the operation of the service.
• Not to enter an email address belonging to someone else on the waiting list or on an account.
• Not to request information aimed at catching protected species — that information is shown on the site under no circumstances.

10. Intellectual property

The texts, the design, the software and the compiled data set on the site belong to the owner of the site. They may not be copied without permission and may not be used for commercial purposes. Content shared by users falls outside this; that content belongs to its own owners.

The rights to third-party sources belong to their own owners:

• Basemap: Esri World Imagery and OpenStreetMap contributors. The attributions stay visible on the map — a license condition.
• Sea depth: EMODnet Bathymetry.
• Weather and sea data: Open-Meteo.
• Species images: the source and the license are written under every image; most are Creative Commons with attribution.

11. Third-party links

The site links to official institution pages and to external sources. We are not responsible for the content of those pages or for their privacy practices.

12. Continuity of the service

The service is provided “as is”. There may be outages, maintenance and feature changes; if a feature is removed, we try to announce it in advance. Measures are taken against data loss, but uninterrupted service and freedom from loss cannot be guaranteed.

13. Protection of personal data

Which data is collected, for what purpose it is processed and what your rights are is explained on the Privacy Policy and Personal Data Protection Notice pages.

14. Changes

These terms may be updated from time to time. The current text is always published at this address; continuing to use it means you accept the current version. For significant changes your consent may be asked for again inside the app.

15. Governing law

These terms are subject to the law of the Republic of Türkiye. In disputes the courts and enforcement offices of the Republic of Türkiye have jurisdiction.
